Adaptive Sport in British Columbia with Warrior Sailing

Funds raised from the Invictus Games 50/50 Raffle will support an adaptive sailing regatta in Vancouver for Veterans and serving members of the forces living with illness or injury.

The aim of Warrior Sailing Canada is to continue to grow interest in and opportunities for inclusive sailing experiences within the military community across Canada.  Staging of the regatta is a way of building the legacy of Invictus Games to continue using the power of sport to aid recovery and build community. The program will take place in Fall 2025 in Vancouver and will include Veterans from across Canada.

This will provide an opportunity for both Veterans and ill and injured serving CAF members to use the sport of sailing as part of their recovery, rehabilitation, and reintegration. Regardless of skill level, participants will receive expert instruction in sailing through classroom lectures and practical application on the water in order to gain the skills to participate in sailing in their local community.
