The Invictus Games Vancouver Whistler 2025 presented by ATCO and Boeing are an opportunity to take the Invictus Games to new heights through the unrivaled power of sport, innovation, and the strength of community.

The 2025 vision provides a direct correlation to the Invictus Games Foundation Pillars of inspire, improve, and influence. By breaking down the 2025 vision into: new heights, innovation, and community it provides the foundation for the innovative legacy programs that will have a lasting impact, not just in Canada, but around the world.

The Invictus Games 2025 Legacy Program is advancing Veteran well-being, fostering meaningful Indigenous reconciliation and engagement, and empowering the rehabilitation and recovery of Veterans through the unifying power of sport and competition. At its heart, this program champions innovation, accessibility, and sustainability— creating a ripple effect of positive change for generations to come.

The Invictus Games Legacy Fund was established by True Patriot Love to invest in targeted areas of impact up to and beyond 2025. With a formidable reputation and proven track record of sustained and impactful grant-making True Patriot Love is uniquely positioned to lead in the planning and delivery of the Invictus Games Legacy Fund.​

LEGACY PROGRAMS

True Patriot Love has set a goal of supporting seven legacy programs:

1. Hybrid Sports Format
The innovative addition of six new adaptive winter sports – Alpine Skiing and Snowboarding, Biathlon, Nordic skiing, Skeleton, and Wheelchair Curling. It is the evolution of the Games, and provides a new path on the journey of Veteran rehabilitation and recovery.

2. Year-Round Adaptive Sports
Opportunities to access adaptive sports year-round, sharing global best practice, capitalizing on the physical and psychological benefits of regular recreational activity, and providing the foundation for future winter hybrid games.

3. Diversity and Inclusion
Advancing reconciliation and renewed relationships with Indigenous peoples. Raising awareness of Canada’s Indigenous Armed Forces and Veterans; building on wider international platforms for diversity and inclusion.

4. Adaptive Sports Research
Identify which aspects of the Winter Hybrid Games have the greatest positive impact on all participants.

5. Environmental, Social and Governance
A commitment to ESG tracking and transformation in every aspect of 2025, and being accountable to measurable delivery against these goals. Establishing an ESG strategy as a step forward for IGF, and providing an impactful framework for future Games.

6. Veterans’ Transition & Employment
The successful and sustainable transition into civilian employment, including Veteran work experience at the Games. Raising awareness of new employment areas for Veterans and improving transition experience with online support and mentoring.

7. Mental Health – Friends and Family Role in Recovery Support
The opportunity for friends and family to use their experience and gain Psychological First Aid Certification.
