Navigating symptoms related to brain injury is a challenging, overwhelming, and complex journey for both patients and caregivers.
Last year, the generosity of donors like you enabled us to invest in Concussion Legacy Foundation Canada’s outreach to Veterans about mental health, PTSD, and brain injuries.
Thanks to you, True Patriot Love also funded CLFC’s peer support groups, which are facilitated by Veterans and open to all serving and former military members, and the development of the Operation Brain Health app.
But because of repeated exposures to blasts, combat training and any activity exposing them to head impacts, many Veterans today have invisible brain injuries and are more likely to experience PTSD, depression and other mental health challenges.
These injuries and mental health challenges affect more than the person living with them; they have an impact on families, too.
That’s why, because of your generosity, True Patriot Love is able to invest in a diverse range of mental health programs across Canada for both members of the Forces as well as their families, like resiliency programs for couples living with PTSD, stress-management workshops for parents and children, adaptive sports and more.
Thank you for standing with them and giving generously today.
