Donate today to Invest in Military creative arts programs
Because those who devote their lives to our security deserve unwavering support during and beyond their service, True Patriot Love exists to ensure that military members, Veterans, and their families are never left behind. We recognize the physical, mental, and emotional toll of service.
- 48% of regular force members have at least one mental health or substance use disorder
- Military members are 2× more likely to report depression or anxiety than the civilian population
- Male Veterans face a significantly higher risk of dying by suicide
True Patriot Love invests in programs across Canada that help them heal, thrive, and find renewed purpose throughout every stage of their journey.
But we can’t do this alone. Your gift today is crucial so that we can continue to invest in programs that use visual arts, writing and performing arts to support Veterans, active service members, and families strengthen social connections, process emotions and trauma, and nurture their creativity.
The positive impact of your gift today
Enriching lives, building friendships
World War II Veteran Roland Lalonde is a resident at Perley Health, home to 450 residents in long-term care, many of them Canadian Forces Veterans. An innovative feature at Perley is their creative arts program.

Upon moving to Perley in 2021, Roland rediscovered his passion for painting through Perley’s creative arts program. With professional artists, therapists and volunteers, Veterans like Roland paint, make ceramics, and do woodworking, sparking creativity and building companionship.
We are asking for your support today so we can invest in more creative arts programs across Canada.
Creative arts programs: community, connection, career
Investment in military creative arts programs can also be a tool in transition to a new civilian career. This past year, our long time program partner Veterans Artist Collective produced three exhibitions in Vancouver and Whistler featuring 62 works by 22 Veteran artists. The exhibitions offered a meaningful platform for these talented artists to shine and grow their careers in fine arts. This was made possible thanks to support from donors like you.
They had our backs. Now let’s have theirs. With your donation today, you will be investing in support for our Canadian Armed Forces serving members, Veterans and their families by funding rehabilitation and recovery journeys through the power of creative arts, sport, expeditions, and community-based programming.
Thank you for standing with us
