(November 13, 2025 – Toronto, ON) To mark the close of Remembrance Week, True Patriot Love, Canada’s foundation for the military community, is thrilled to announce that its 2025 National Tribute Dinner series raised over $2 million in support of programs for Veterans, serving members of the Forces and their families.
The National Tribute Dinners are True Patriot Love Foundation’s signature fundraising event and Canada’s largest celebration in support of military members, past and present, and their families. The annual event brings together influential business and community leaders, distinguished military representatives and dignitaries to pay tribute to the military and Veteran community and honour the sacrifices they have made for our nation.
To date, True Patriot Love’s National Tribute Dinners have raised over $27 million for programs supporting serving members, Veterans and their families.
This year’s Tribute Dinners were held during Remembrance Week in Montreal, Toronto and Ottawa, with over 900 guests attending the Dinners.
“Thanks to the generous support of our sponsors and guests, the Foundation can continue to invest in programs coast to coast that change the lives of those who have served and may be struggling with challenges or injuries as a result of their time in uniform,” said Nick Booth, CEO of True Patriot Love. “Canadians depend on the commitment and bravery of those who step forward to put on the nation’s uniform. We collectively have an obligation to build a resilient network of support for those in the Armed Forces, for Veterans and for their families. Their service demands nothing less.”
General (retired) Rick Hillier received the Foundation’s Patriot Award, given annually as part of the Tribute Dinner celebrations. The Patriot Award honours an individual or organization who has proven outstanding dedication and commitment to the Foundation and has shown exceptional efforts in raising funds and awareness for the members of the Canadian Forces, Veterans and their families.
A popular feature of the annual Tribute Dinners is the Tribute Auction, which among other experiences and gifts, offered a selection of army helmets which have been turned into artworks by Veterans and high-profile Canadians such as Alex Lifeson and Margaret Atwood. This year, Prince Harry contributed to one of the helmets alongside a Veteran at the Sunnybrook Veterans Centre.
At the invitation of True Patriot Love, Prince Harry, the Duke of Sussex, was a guest at the Toronto Tribute Dinner. During his visit to Toronto, the Duke met with Reservists at Fort York and HMCS York, and with Veterans at Sunnybrook Veterans Centre, where he joined their creative arts program, painting an army helmet with 101-year-old Veteran Jim LaForce.
