True Patriot Love’s funding will help Kids Help Phone train its counsellors in military cultural awareness and provide free 24/7 support and information to youth from military families through their Crisis Text Line.
Children can text CAFKids to 686868 and receive access to a counsellor (JEUNESFAC at 686868 for support in French).
Enhanced access to an evidence-based national crisis texting service that is contextualized for the unique stresses of military life, will be instrumental in ensuring youth from military families gain timely and accessible mental health resources.

For more than 30 years, Kids Help Phone has been supporting youth across Canada and now with funding from True Patriot Love, youth in military families will have direct access to 24/7 365 texting support through Crisis Text Line powered by Kids Help Phone.
