True Patriot Love’s funding will help the Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI) Association provide three-day workshops to its members and partnering organizations. The workshop will provide Mental Health First Aid and case studies, ensuring participants have the proper knowledge and skills to support military members and Veterans facing mental health challenges.

Program location: Alberta

These funds were critical to conducting regional Mental Health workshops across Canada. We have trained 174 volunteers on Mental Health First Aid. It is not easy to be a peer supporter. No one wants to make a mistake or add to an individual’s stress levels. The workshops have helped reduce the stigma associated with Mental Health and improved the volunteer’s self confidence so they can help a person in need and encourage them to seek professional help.
