On November 10, 2020, an announcement was made by The Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, that $20 million in new funding to create a temporary Veterans Organizations Emergency Support Fund. This provided financial support to Veterans organizations who have been hit hard by the COVID-19 pandemic, and who are in need of immediate support.  True Patriot Love Foundation was named as a recipient. We are pleased to announce that in March 2021, two additional funding announcements have been made. Details are provided below.

  • On March 24, 2021 Minister Peter Bethlenfalvy announced legislation to renew the Soldiers’ Aid Commission and make its support available to more Veterans than ever before. Building on this commitment to support those who served our country and their families, the government will be making investments to support Veterans’ mental health and their transition to employment through the True Patriot Love Foundation.   • On March 29, 2021, The Honourable Lawrence MacAulay, Minister of Veterans Affairs and Associate Minister of National Defence, announced that True Patriot Love is among the 23 organizations that have been awarded funds to either start or expand their activities in support of Veteran and family well-being. In response to growing recognition that creative arts can play an integral role in Veteran rehabilitation and recovery, True Patriot Love Foundation will use its funding from the Veteran and Family Well-Being Fund to create a “Military Creative Arts” framework.
