Bringing Virtual Reality PTSD Treatment to Veterans
Partnering with the University of Southern California with innovative VR treatments across Canada.
In 2013, the Department of Health Services at the Department of National Defence identified a leading virtual reality treatment for PTSD developed at the University of Southern California. In response, True Patriot Love raised $500,000 in private funds for the University of Southern California to “Canadianize” the software. In less than one year, 54 clinicians are now using the software in nine government-funded operational stress injury clinics across Canada.
Partnership with the University of Southern California: TPL is funding the Canadianization of leading-edge virtual reality treatment for post-traumatic stress disorder, which will be used by the Canadian Department of National Defence, Department for Veterans Affairs and psychiatrists across Canada to treat post-traumatic stress disorder.
