Breaking Barriers for Children of Military Families
How leveraging technology can offer support and counselling to military children living with anxiety and depression.

Strongest Families Institute leverages technology to offer support and counselling to military children living with anxiety and depression. Through our partnership with Strongest Families Institute, we provide military families across Canada with the support and resources needed to help military families during crisis situations.
The program is accessible via phone and internet, so program participants can access the help they need from the comfort of their own home. Strongest Families Institute’s distant coaching methods has an 89% success rate in overcoming child/youth anxiety. The combination of low dropout rates and the positive feedback from both family members and youth participating in the program attest to the initiative’s effectiveness.
TPL and Strongest Families Institute continue to help youth address the unique challenges of having a loved one serving in the Canadian Armed Forces through their distant coaching methods. Visit their website for more information about the coaching resources available through Strongest Families Institute.
