Family Health & Support

Caring for the military family has always been our first priority.

As such, we have provided more than $5.2 million in funding to programs and organizations that support military and veteran families.

The Military Families Fund (MFF) was established to provide Base and Wing Commanders with funds to help military families within hours of being advised of need. The MFF allows Canadian Forces leadership to meet the special-case needs of the CF members and their families, with the speed and flexibility not always available through the traditional programs. The MFF provides emergency financial assistance to military families faced with unforeseen and often immediate neesd that have resulted due to conditions of service.

To date, True Patriot Love has disbursed $4.1 million to the Military Families Fund. These funds have been used for military children with special needs, ill/injured members and veterans (allowing for home and vehicle modifications), tutoring and camp programming across Canada.

We have also directed nearly $1.1 million to Military Family Resource Centres (MFRC’s) across Canada, which play a critical role inproviding military families with relevant programs and services that empower and encourage strong, independent individuals and families within the Canadian Forces. Funding was used to provide local programming that includes child and youth development, parenting support, personal development and community integration.
